DIY Garden Gardening Healthy eating Organic

Eating healthy can be VERY challenging, especially when you have 2 picky eaters. For our family, eating healthy is important, but eating organic is just as important to us.
🌱
To eat organic food can run your grocery bill way up. So... our solution... grow our food!
🌿
My husband has a pretty green thumb. I, on the other hand, do not (I’m learning, though).
🌱
We got creative and used an old carport as a frame for our garden area. The pictures are below. We did a bunch of research on what we could currently start growing for the season and bought organic seeds and organic soil. We wanted to make sure everything is 100% organic from the beginning.
🌿
I never realized how long it takes for plants to grow. When we started germinating the seeds, I was expecting things to start sprouting in a couple of days. Boy, did I learn how little patience I can have.
🌱
We are currently growing: jalapeños, cucumbers, cantaloupe, watermelon, bell peppers, tomatoes, corn, green beans, lettuce, pineapple, avocado, basil, and peppermint!
🌿
We have 2 little helpers that love to be in the garden. Hopefully, helping grow our food will help them enjoy eating it too.
🌱
Keep a lookout for updates and pictures of the progress!
